Postby SYNASTR's GT on Sat Jul 25, 2009 12:10 pm

hi, im new to the forum but i have owned my fiero for a while now. Its a sunroof 87 gt. Ok well i pulled the headliner to remove the bolts for the rear fast back. "painting the car" well the carpet ripped and the foam broke. well i wanna do a solid headliner that ia painted to match the interior. What options do i have? should i fiberglass the foam together and sand and add a little bondo then shoot a 2K primer to fill in some spots? or is there pre-made headliners? Thx guys Jake

There are pre-made headliners but they aren't cheap. The option to fiberglass your current..... Well I've been working on that. I used a gel resin to keep it from soaking in too much.... Well the headliner sucked it all in. This thing is getting heavy Fast and I'm still not done. I wouldn't want to use too much bondo or other fillers other than glass and resin due to it hanging overhead and being a bit flexible.

Only place I know where you can get headliners: http://www.fierostore.com/Product/Browse.aspx?d=264&p=1

I thought there used to be someone who was making them in carbon fiber but can't find them.
